Every Natural ingredient in this base has a job — and they do it beautifully. 

Coco-Glucoside delivers a gentle, skin-friendly cleanse without disrupting the skin barrier. Glycerin and Propanediol work together to hydrate and soften, leaving skin feeling comfortable, never tight. More than just a thickener, Xanthan Gum gives this base its signature silky glide — ensuring your cleanser feels as good as it performs. Sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate product stability — this base is simple, purposeful, and designed to let your creativity shine.

And just as important as what’s inside — is what’s left out. This base is completely free from sulphates, synthetic fragrances, PEGs, harsh surfactants, and artificial thickeners. No unnecessary fillers. No shortcuts. Just a clean, modern formula built for skin — not foam.

Ingredients

INCI: Coco-Glucoside, Glycerin, Propanediol, Xanthan Gum, *Sodium benzoate, *Potassium sorbate

*These three ingredients form the natural preservative used in this base.

🌱 Coco-Glucoside
A gentle, biodegradable cleanser naturally derived from renewable plant sugars. It’s what gives this base its creamy, low-foaming lather—lifting away dirt and excess oil without disrupting the skin barrier.

💧 Glycerin
A natural humectant that draws moisture into the skin and helps maintain hydration during and after cleansing. It leaves skin feeling soft, soothed, and comfortable.

🌿 Propanediol
A plant-based ingredient (derived from corn sugar) that enhances skin hydration, improves the glide and feel of your product, and supports natural preservation—helping skin feel fresh and nourished.

✨ Xanthan Gum
 A naturally-derived thickener and stabiliser, giving this base its smooth, gel-like consistency while helping to lock in hydration and improve skin feel.

How To Use

⚠️ *Important: This base includes a built-in preservative system, allowing you to safely dilute up to 1 part base to 2 parts distilled water. If you wish to dilute further, we recommend adding an additional appropriate preservative to your final product for safety.

This is a concentrated gel base — designed to give you full control over your final product.

Simply add distilled water to achieve your desired texture and skin feel. The below is a guide.

→ Thick & Decadent Gel Cleanser (Ideal for deep body cleansing)
1 part Gel Base : 0.5 parts Water

→ Everyday Facial Gel Cleanser (A luxurious, balanced clean)
1 part Gel Base : 1 part Water

→ Lightweight Hydrating Gel Cleanser (Perfect for a refreshing, gentle cleanse)
1 part Gel Base : 2 parts Water

How to Dilute with Water:

1. Always use distilled or filtered water for dilution — this helps prevent microbial growth and maintains clarity.
   

2. Slowly add pre-measured warm distilled water, blending very gently to prevent the mixture from forming excess air bubbles.
   

3. Allow your diluted mix to settle overnight for the best clarity and stability.

How to Add Other Water-Based Ingredients:

Want to go beyond distilled water? No problem.

You can substitute part (or all) of the water content with other skin-loving, water-based ingredients to truly make this cleanser your own.

Simply follow your chosen dilution ratio, and replace the water portion with your desired ingredients.

Water-Based Ingredients You Can Potentially Use:

• Floral Waters / Hydrosols, Aloe Vera Juice, Cucumber Water, Herbal Infusions (Green Tea, Calendula, Chamomile), Glycerites (Plant extracts infused in glycerine), Panthenol (Vitamin B5 solution), Botanical Extracts (water-soluble)

How to Add Colour: 

• Once you have achieved your desired concentration, add a few drops of our Natural Colour Extracts. 

• Gently stir the colour in, and adjust with more drops until you have achieved your desired colour.

How to Add Essential Oils & Carrier Oils

*Always patch-test a small area before initial use. 

1. Choose Skin-Safe Essential Oils
Select high-quality, skin-safe oils like lavender, tea tree, peppermint, or eucalyptus.
Avoid phototoxic oils (e.g., cold-pressed citrus) or known irritants in rinse-off products.

It is not recommended to use essential oils on the face, if you wish to, only add small amounts to the base and ensure it is well-solubilised.

Please note that some essential oils may thicken or thin out the mixture

2. Use the Right Ratio
🗸 A general guideline is 0.5%–1% of total product weight.
For example: In 100g of soap, use 0.5g to 1g of essential oil/carrier oil.

Always refer to the specific usage recommendations for your chosen essential oil—some oils are more potent or sensitising than others.
⚠️ Essential oils are powerful—more is not always better. When in doubt, start low and increase cautiously.

3. Blend Gently
Add essential oils, a few drops at a time and stir gently to combine.
Avoid vigorous mixing to prevent excess air bubbles.
Note: Some oils may naturally separate. A quick shake before use can help—but for a more permanent solution, see below.

Optional: Use a Solubiliser - For a Crystal-Clear Finish
If your base looks cloudy or separates:

• Add a professional solubiliser, following the manufacturer’s instructions.
  

• This helps disperse essential oils evenly in the water-based formula.
  

Always Patch Test First
Apply a small amount to the inside of your wrist or elbow. Wait 24 hours before wider use.

Thickening: 

💡 Want to thicken it? Once you have diluted the concentrate, you can re-thicken your product by adding in extra melted base or blending in additional gums. Salt solutions will not thicken this product.
