๐น Rose-Infused Jojoba Oil Kit - Instructions
๐ก๏ธ Safety & Storage
- Always patch test before use (apply a small amount to inner wrist or elbow, wait 24 hours).
- For external use only โ do not ingest.
- Keep away from eyes and children.
- Use dried botanicals only (never fresh petals, as they contain water).
- Store finished oil in a cool, dark place. Best used within 6โ12 months.
๐ง What You'll Create
Using this kit, you'll master the ancient art of cold oil infusion to create your own luxurious botanical serum. This 3-week process extracts lipophilic (oil-loving) compounds from rose petals, including essential oils, antioxidants, and conditioning fatty acids.
Jojoba's unique wax ester structure carries these beneficial compounds deep into your skin, while vitamin E prevents oxidation for a stable, long-lasting product. You're creating liquid gold that rivals expensive department store serums using traditional techniques backed by modern science.
๐ฟ How it Works + Tips
Your oil infusion kit is designed to help you create a botanical skin oil thatโs unique to you. By steeping dried petals in jojoba oil, youโre gently drawing out the plantโs oil-loving compounds โ creating a nourishing, scented oil you can use for face, body, or DIY projects.
Be patient โ infusions take time (3 weeks) but deliver a rich, natural result.
- Extra ingredients for future projects โ you wonโt use all your botanicals or Vitamin E at once.
- Take notes โ write down your infusion dates, petal amounts, and scent results. Youโll build your own recipe library to recreate favourites.

โจ Recipe to Make 100 ml Rose Oil
- 10 g Dried Rose Petals
- 100 ml Jojoba Oil
- 1 g Vitamin E Oil
๐ง Method
Clean & Sterilise
With alcohol, wipe down your jar, spoon, and funnel before starting. Let dry completely. Clean jars and tools are essential for product safety.
1) Combine
- Place 10 g of rose petals into your clean infusion jar.
- Pour 100 ml jojoba oil over the petals, making sure they are fully submerged.
- Keep your empty pump bottle aside (place the lid back on the bottle) โ this is where youโll store your finished infusion later.
โ ๏ธ Important: Do not wash this bottle. Introducing water into the bottle or pump mechanism can lead to bacterial growth. Simply place the lid/pump back on.
2) Infuse, Label, Store
- Label the jar with the infusion date, herb & oil used. Seal and store in a cool, dark place (like a cupboard with no sunlight).
- Gently swirl every 3โ4 days.
- Infuse for 3 weeks.
3) Strain Your Infusion
- Clean and sterilise a pouring beaker.
- Place the muslin cloth over the top of the beaker (or secure with a band).
- Slowly pour the infused oil through the cloth to catch petals and particles.
- Gather the petals inside the cloth and gently squeeze to extract the remaining oil.
4) Add Vitamin E
Stir in 1 g Vitamin E oil to extend freshness.
5) Bottle & Label
- Transfer to the original bottle that your oil came in and seal with your pump.
- โ ๏ธ Important: You should not have washed this bottle. Introducing water can lead to bacterial growth. Simply place the lid/pump back on.
- Handwrite on the original label the herb name and extraction date.
โจ Usage
- Use as a facial or body oil: apply a few drops to damp skin and massage in.
- Blend into balms or scrubs as a nourishing base oil.
- Compost or discard used rose petals after straining.
๐ก Tips & Troubleshooting
- Keep a simple recipe log so you can repeat your favourite blends.
- Weak fragrance? Next time, increase petals or extend infusion time by 1โ2 weeks.
- Cloudy oil? Strain again through a coffee filter or let settle longer.
- Skin sensitivity? Discontinue use. Some people are sensitive to rose compounds.
