🛡️ Safety & Storage

  • Water-based sprays: Use within 2–4 weeks. Make small batches for freshness.
  • Alcohol-based sprays: Store in a cool, dark place; lasts 3–6 months.
  • Powders: Keep sealed and dry; lasts 3–6 months.
  • Label your containers: Include product name and date made.
  • Shake before each use: Essential oils naturally separate from water.
  • Patch-test fabrics and surfaces before first use.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets. Essential oils are for external use only — never ingest or use undiluted on skin.
  • If any product changes colour, texture, or smell, discard and make a fresh batch.

🚫 Surfaces to Avoid

Essential Oils (Australian Bush Blend, Lemon, Tea Tree):

  • Potent, solvent-like properties can damage:
    • Plastic/acrylic surfaces (risk of clouding or weakening plastic)
    • Painted or varnished wood (can strip finishes)
    • Stone surfaces (especially citrus oils like Lemon — can etch and dull stone)

Bicarb Soda (mild abrasive):

  • Avoid using as a scrub on:
    • Glossy plastics (may scratch)
    • Delicate coatings (e.g. non-stick cookware, polished stone)
    • Acrylic bathroom surfaces (can dull shine over time)
